The Problem
Why New Cabins Scratch So Fast
Modern cars are full of glossy surfaces. Piano black trims around the gear lever, large infotainment touchscreens, gloss-black door switch panels and shiny centre consoles look stunning in the showroom. Within weeks, most of them are covered in fine scratches from keys, rings, phones, sunglasses and even the cloth used to wipe them.
Piano black plastic is soft, and touchscreens are wiped and tapped hundreds of times a week. Once scratched, these parts are difficult or expensive to restore — some cannot be polished at all. Interior PPF prevents that damage in the first place.
What It Is
What Is Interior PPF?
Interior PPF is a thin, optically clear film made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) — the same family of material as exterior paint protection film, but cut and designed for interior surfaces. It is applied precisely to each part, so it is practically invisible once installed.
The top layer is self-healing. Light scratches from rings or fingernails fade away with a little warmth, so the surface keeps looking new. The film also resists fingerprints and is easy to wipe clean.
Gloss or matte finish
Gloss film keeps piano black looking deep and glossy. Matte film cuts glare and fingerprints on screens — a popular choice for large touchscreens that reflect sunlight. Choosing the best PPF finish for each part is part of our consultation.

Benefits
Why It's Worth It
Interior PPF is a small job that protects the parts you touch and see most. It keeps the cabin looking new, protects resale value and saves the cost of replacing scratched trims or screens. For new cars especially, fitting it in the first few weeks means the original surfaces never get damaged.
It pairs naturally with exterior protection. Many customers book interior PPF together with exterior PPF or ceramic coating, so the whole car is protected inside and out in one visit.

Care
Caring for Interior PPF
Clean protected surfaces with a soft microfibre cloth, lightly dampened if needed. Avoid alcohol-based or ammonia cleaners and abrasive pads. Do not pick at edges. If a piece is ever damaged, it can be replaced individually without touching the rest.
For the first day or two, avoid pressing hard on freshly filmed screens while the adhesive settles.
Compare
Interior PPF vs Screen Guards
Customers often ask whether a cheap screen guard does the same job. Here is how they compare.
Fit
Interior PPF is cut to each exact shape; generic guards leave gaps and edges that lift.
Clarity
TPU film stays clear; cheap PET or PVC guards haze and yellow.
Self-healing
Interior PPF heals fine scratches; ordinary guards keep every mark.
Coverage
PPF covers trims, consoles and sills, not just the screen.
Package and service prices for every car type are listed on one page — the same transparent rates across our locations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best interior PPF?
TPU-based, self-healing interior film that stays clear and does not yellow. Avoid cheap PVC screen films, which peel and haze.
Will interior PPF affect my touchscreen?
No. The film is thin and clear, so touch response stays the same. A matte option also reduces glare and fingerprints.
How long does it take?
Usually two to four hours, depending on how many parts are covered.
Does interior PPF change how piano black looks?
With gloss film, piano black keeps its deep shine. Matte film gives a softer, satin look that hides fingerprints.
Can it be removed later?
Yes, it comes off cleanly without damaging the trim.
Is it worth it on an older car?
Yes, if the surfaces are still in good condition. Heavily scratched piano black may need restoration first.
