What It Is
What Ceramic Coating Actually Does
A ceramic coating is a liquid made from silica-based (SiO₂) nano particles. When it is applied to clean, polished paint, it bonds with the clear coat and hardens into a thin, transparent layer. That layer is harder and far smoother than the paint underneath. Dirt has nothing to grip, water beads and rolls away, and the colour looks deeper and richer.
The '9H' you see in ceramic coating ads comes from the pencil hardness test. It means the cured coating resists marks from a 9H graphite pencil. It does not mean the car becomes scratch-proof — a key or a stone will still mark it — but it does mean the coating is much more resistant to the fine wash marks and haze that make cars look old.
In Sonipat the benefit is very practical. Between construction dust, winter fog that leaves a grey film on cars every morning and the hard water from many borewells, a coated car stays cleaner for longer and needs far less effort to wash.

Not every car needs the most expensive coating. We offer four grades so you can match the protection to how long you plan to keep the car.

- 9H+ Platinum Coat — a multi-layer base and top coat system, cured with infrared lamps, five years.
We also apply ceramic coating on top of PPF. This keeps the film glossy and makes it even easier to wash.
Process
How Your Car Gets Coated
A ceramic coating locks in whatever is under it — good or bad. That is why most of the work happens before the coating bottle is even opened.
Wash & decontaminate
Snow foam, two-bucket hand wash, iron remover and clay bar strip away tar, rail dust and grime.
Inspect under lights
We look for swirls, water spots and scratches, and measure paint thickness before polishing.
Machine polish
At least a single-stage polish to remove haze and light swirls; more stages if you choose paint correction.
Panel wipe
Polishing oils are removed so the coating bonds straight to the clear coat.
Apply & level
The coating is applied panel by panel in thin, even layers, then levelled by hand.
Cure
Higher grades are cured with IR lamps. The car stays indoors so dust cannot settle on the fresh coating.

Care
Keeping the Coating at Its Best
Do not wash the car for the first seven days. After that, wash every week or two with a pH-neutral shampoo, using the two-bucket method and a clean microfibre mitt. Dry with a soft towel to avoid water spots — especially important with Sonipat's hard water.
Avoid automatic brush washes and roadside cleaners who use the same cloth on every car. They will not remove the coating, but they will put swirl marks into it. Every few months, a ceramic spray sealant top-up refreshes the water-beading effect; we can do this in about an hour.
If your car already has PPF on the front, coating the rest of the body gives you full protection: physical protection where the stones hit and easy-clean gloss everywhere else.
Ceramic vs Wax
Ceramic Coating vs Wax vs PPF
Car wax is a natural or synthetic layer that sits on top of the paint. It looks good, but in Sonipat's heat it usually lasts a few weeks. A spray sealant lasts a few months. A ceramic coating bonds with the clear coat and lasts years, which is why it has largely replaced wax for people who want low-maintenance shine.
Ceramic coating and PPF are often confused. Ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that improves gloss and makes cleaning easy, but it cannot stop a stone chip. PPF is a thick film that absorbs impacts. If you drive a lot on NH-44 or the KMP Expressway, the best setup is PPF on the front and ceramic coating on the rest of the car.

Is 9H ceramic coating scratch-proof?
